You Ask - I Answer
Have a question you’d like to ask? I’m committed to giving clients the best care and experience I can. There’s no such thing as a bad question. Check out the answers to the FAQs below, and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any additional questions.
WHAT ARE YOUR RATES?
I provide up to 30 minutes free consultation, either in person or on the telephone. If, after the consultation, we agree to go ahead, my charges are:
from £60 / session. A session will be minimum 1 hour, but can last up to 2 hours depending on need. The cost however, remains the same, so you can be sure I'm committed to helping you in as few sessions as possible. I am able to deal with many issues in just a single session.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
I conduct an initial consultation of up to 30 minutes. This may be over the telephone or at the start of the first therapy session.
Most sessions will be around one hour in duration, but I will vary this depending on circumstances and the needs of the client at that time.
WHERE DO YOU CONDUCT YOUR THERAPY?
Most therapy takes place in my therapy room at home. It is a comfortable, quiet and safe environment, designed to put clients at ease. I do however, also conduct home visits depending on the needs of the client. This is arranged during our initial telephone consultation.
I also conduct therapy via Skype or similar online platforms, so you can benefit from my experience and services no matter where you are in the world.
IS HYPNOTHERAPY SAFE?
Hypnotherapy is perfectly safe when conducted by a trained and qualified professional. All hypnosis is essentially self-hypnosis and the therapist cannot make you do anything you do not want to.
HOW DOES HYPNOTHERAPY WORK?
Hypnotherapy works by leading the client into a state of relaxed focus whereby the subconscious becomes open to suggestion, with the aim of making changes to how we think. How we think influences how we behave. I have a range of techniques at my disposal and will choose whichever is most suited to the client.
WHAT IS EFT?
EFT is Emotional Freedom Technique. It involves tapping on key meridian points whilst verbally addressing specific issues brought by the client. It can be considered a bit like acupuncture without the needles. EFT produces amazing results when dealing with a whole range of issues such as phobias, anxiety or bereavement and I may choose to use it in support of, or instead of hypnotherapy, depending on the client's needs.
